We specialize in appraisal of personal property including residential contents, antiques, artwork, collectibles, oriental rugs, textiles, silver, porcelain and most household objects.  We are experienced in all purpose for appraisals including estate appraisals for tax purposes, donation appraisals for a charitable contribution, appraisals for damage claims, appraisals for bankruptcy court and divorce court, and to set replacement value for insurance needs. 

Deborah Abernethy has been a distance instructor with the International Society of Appraisers since 2006.  She has passed testing in the expert witness class and has testified as an expert witness on many occasions.  Deborah has taken and passed USPAP coursework qualifying her for IRS appraisals.

What Does Certified Mean?

A certified appraiser has met all of the "accredited" requirements and has also passed the certification examination, submitted reports for review, documented logs for appraisal hours to show experience, and documented professional development hours.
