It has been a difficult time to determine value in the past few years. If you look at auctions, some objects have been selling at their usual highs while others are either not selling or selling for much less. With "boomers" downsizing, many objects are coming to market, making it a buyers' market for many categories. As appraisers, we do not set value, but report trends in existing sales by carefully noting the similarities and differences in the objects. It is a time when care must be taken to properly advise a client wishing to get information on what they should "sell for".
What's new? Deborah has just purchased a home in the Moss Creek Plantation, part of Hilton Head Island, S C. While still working in the metro Atlanta area, she plans to spend increasingly more time in South Carolina with work and recreation. (I think that it's a ploy to get the adult children home for a few days!)
